Cards and more......

Since I was negligent and didn't post a card for yesterday I'm going to post two cards from this past Sunday at Karrie's house. Speaking of Karrie, she was working on her top secret releases for the Cat's Pajamas and I of all people have to keep quiet about them. Hump! Totally not fair...........I didn't even get to lay a hand on any of the new stamps. See how she is.....lol. No, seriously, you are all going to want to head on over and get these cute Easter images once they are released to the public. I know I am.

So here's my boring cards....using old sets haha. I still love ya little cards........

 

The second one is probably my favorite card from Sunday but it's not the best picture.

 I used Karrie's new Slice on this little card. It's pretty slick. Although, I need no other gadgets. I don't even play with half the ones I have now. Sad, very sad.

Off to check on chicken and have a little glass of red wine while I wait for the hubs to get home. Cheers!

Monday Mojo

I'm hoping for a little time this evening in between trips to the pool to work on some cards. Yesterday I went to Karrie's house to do a bit of stamping and had the hardest time getting my mojo going. Frustrating when that happens!!! Last night I came home and decided that I needed to work with this paper that had me stumped all day long. Here's what I finally produced.  Not the best pictures........sorry abou that. I just felt better after getting these two knocked out. I'll have more to post this week. I did manage to complete seven cards at Karrie's. Not my ususal double digit #. Oh, Hobby Lobby has all their Paper packs on sale this week for 50% off. Karrie bought this beautiful paper from My Minds Eye over there and I just couldn't help myself, I bought the same stuff!

Off to pay some bills and then run to the pool.  

Dropped off the face of the earth!

Yes, I've been missing in blog land......what can I say, something has to go when you have no time left in the day.

What we've been up to:

Last weekend Drew and Steven had a double sleep over and hit the skate park 3 times in a two day period. They were totally exhausted but loving every minute of it.

I've been working on taxes! YUCK!!!!

Mackenzie has been learning a new routine in Synchro. After the last meet they decided to move her to another grouping. The next meet is the 20th and 21st of this month so it's been fast and furious for her.

Mackenzie has also been interviewing Jo Daly for her biography project for AA English. Too bad she didn't have the recorder on for the first half of the interview. OOPS!

Yesterday Mackenzie went and spent the day shadowing a student at Westwood. I do believe she will be switching to the new school in the fall. At least for 10th grade. This is kind of stressing me out a bit......I need to figure out Summer school details and then I think it will be a go.

Work has been extremely slow.....needless to say, John is a bit on the edge lately.

Kids both got very good progress reports at school. Yes, we are halfway through the 3rd grading period. Where is the time going???

My Dad is coming over this afternoon to visit the dog. Yes, he prefers her over the rest of us. He is bringing a pan of lasagna he wants me to cook for dinner. His social life is booked. Hard to believe he's into shooting pool, playing bean bag toss, boccee ball and who knows what else at the park. I am grateful for this!

Tomorrow I'm looking forward to a day of stamping at Karrie's house. I totally need a day fo de-stressing. Also need to make cards to donate to the Aqua Stars for the Watershow. I'm going to share some stationery I made Mackenzie last week and also a picture of my latest knitting projects. My goal is to someday knit X-mas stockings for the rest of my family!
