Today I went and shopped Target to get some bargains. I thought i ended up doing pretty well on the sale items. I also scored a few things I had coupons for that i wasn't really going to Target for but purchased because they were a good deal.
So my total bill ended up being $78.20 including tax. I received $20.00 in Target gift cards (no expiration date) and then have a $15.00 mail in rebate for Oil of Olay. So the net cost for all the items was $43.20 including tax. So, considering I bought two bags of dog food, two dow scrubbing bubbles, 4 razors (6.99 each), 2 starkist tuna packs, 5 boxes of nutrigrain bars, dove dark chocolates ( valentine leftovers), electrasol dishwasher tablets, box of envelopes and 2 sobe waters I don't think it's too bad. The dog food alone would have been $34.00. On the bottom of my receipt it says I saved $65.65 which doesn't take into consideration the $20.00 in gift cards or the $15.00 rebate.
Steven has been working on his paper and project on Egypt. He's actually had a pretty fun time working on making a salt dough map of the country. He needs to get busy and paint it now. It was actually quite comical watching him do this map. I really wanted him to pick a project that he could do by himself instead of me making the project! So, on the day he mixed up the dough John walked in and proceeded to help and direct Steven on how to do the map. Steven finally did tell John it was his project. Too funny! Here's a picture of what it looks like so far.
Actually maybe this is the picture to share! haha
Steven did an awesome job drawing the map from an outline he found on-line. The dough is finally ready to paint and I'm very excited to see how this turns out for him. He's also going to add little flags marking burial grounds, pyramids etc. It was very cute because he asked if there was a scrap booking method he could us to do the signs because his hand writing is messy. I think he's decided to type titles out on the computer and then use one of my punches to cut them out and put on toothpicks. Hope this works out for him. For some reason I just love when my kids use my supplies. Makes them more cost effective and justifiable.
Well, I need to go work more on my taxes...ugh! Not one of my favorite duties.
